Dear Nita, Peter Lorna and all the team'
Thank you so much for yet another thoroughly enjoyable Stock Hill experience.
It never ceases to amaze me how you maintain such an incredibly high standard in every aspect of a stay at Stock Hill.
My birthday - minus any of our family - who were in various stages of holidays elsewhere - was yet another one to remember with great pleasure.
John and I look forward to the next time, which won't be too far away.

My wife, Jill, and I would like to thank you, Peter, Lorna, Victoria, Jessica and others unknown for ensuring that we had a wonderful holiday at Stock Hill. We loved the setting of the Hotel in the beautiful and interesting gardens, and especially enjoyed the occasion when the weather allowed us too have tea and that fascinating cake on the patio.
The days started well with the tasty and fortifying breakfasts, available in satisfying combinations.
But of course the greatest joy was the quality of the evening meals, to which we looked forward with pleasurable anticipation throughout the day. We greatly appreciated Peter's artistry and originality in arranging the colours, textures and flavours of such a wide range of tasty dishes.
Jill had been to Austria when skiing, but I'd never sampled that cuisine to any extent. Thus we were both enlightened and instructed by those special dishes on the ever changing menu, and learnt to appreciate some of their subtleties.
Victoria kept us on our toes with her erudite brand of British humour!
We were grateful for all the local information that enhanced our stay. Stourhead and Montacute are unmissable.
Again many thanks to an efficient, courteous and hard-working team.

Just a quick note to thank you, Peter, and your staff for a lovely lunch yesterday. Great choices on the menu, as usual, deliciously tasting food, all provided with impeccable service and ambiance. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was a memorable 70th. because of it.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you again for a fantastic night last night , and making our stay very special indeed. Not many hotels have given us the time and service that you and your staff gave us, making us feel so welcome and comfortable during our stay. You have a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, fantastic chef and great staff and the perfect host in your good self. The only downside was our stay wasn't longer.
We will return for a longer stay next time. And we are already looking forward to planning it. Until then I wish you all the best for the future and I will be recommending you to every one coming to your part of the country.

Just returned from a lovely two night stay at Stock Hill Hotel. Felt we had been away for two weeks not just two days.
The service, food and accommodation were superb. Looking forward to returning at a later date with some friends to enjoy this amazing place.

Thank you so much for our truly delicious lunch the other day, Nita. We all enjoyed it enormously and marveled at Peter's enduring talent. It's a real gift to turn out beautifully made and presented food to such a high standard for all these years. Please thank him very much on our behalf - and also the girls, who made it all flow so effortlessly and unobtrusively. We had a lovely time. Mother would have been delighted. I was pleased to see those clever little meringue birds which she loved so much. She kept one on her mantlepiece for ages. She also kept one of Peter's beautiful little pastry crabs which came with a fish dish. She said he should have been a sculptor.
Thank you Nita. I'm immensely grateful to you for making it into such a pleasurable and special occasion.

We have returned from our mad cap trip to England and thank you so much for the lovely two nights we spent with you. We have to say that our mealtimes spent with you were the most elegant the tastiest of the trip.

Thank you so much for making Saturday a very special day for us and our guests.
Everything went exactly as we had hoped it might. We really appreciated the way in which you personalised the occasion for us, including special menus, dealing with the cake, allowing a picture on the mantelpiece, displaying the flowers and balloons we had been given and putting the sparklers in our desserts.
We had lots of enthusiastic comments about the venue, the superb quality of the food and the quiet and efficient service.
We were touched to receive the special card from you all. Please pass on our thanks to Peter and the staff involved.

Firstly, I should like to thank you very much for our superb Valentine's Dinner. The food was EXCELLENT and the attention to detail in its presentation, SUPERB! In addition, we were very impressed at the level of attention we received from your waitresses .. all in all, an extremely enjoyable and memorable evening. Thank you ALL so very much. We shall definitely come again!
I wonder whether you could be so kind as to either email me a copy of the delicious menu from Saturday night or alternatively, send me a menu? It was our very first Valentine's night together and we would really love a memento from the night and could not think of anything nicer than to be able to relive that WONDERFUL meal whenever we want.
Thank you all again. A rare treat! Will certainly be recommending you to all our friends.

Thank you for a super stay. As usual all was superb and Peter’s cooking is like a fine wine. It gets better with age.
We have been coming to Stock Hill, four times a year, for over twenty years. We are much travelled but keep returning to Stock Hill. The standard of the hotel is the best we have ever had anywhere in the world. The food is superb, contrived by master chefs Peter Hauser and Lorna Connor. Nita Hauser runs the front of house, with a flair with her guests welfare in mind. The Christmas and New Year here needs to be sampled to see how good they are.
